Well it is soon Monday morning so I thought it was suitable to post this painting LOL

I have spent most of today getting ready for next weekend's exhibition. Nearly done now.

Today's painting is part of the Daily painters gallery's memorial exhibition for Barbara Haukenberry. I chose this one both because of its humor but also in rememberance of talks we had about our experiences in men in our lives.

Today I painted with a friend of mine and had a lovely time.

This whole week I have tidied up and sorted through stuff that has been just stacked during the last busy months. LOL Today I sorted through a drawer with cards and telephonnumbers and papers gathered over the last 10 years. Long overdue. Hehe lovely when it is done.

I always end up doing this the first week of the holidays. I seem to be too wired up right after a work year and it takes time before I "land".

Today I have landed a bit. I have had one full night's sleep for the first time in a long time and that was lovely. Today I also rested out in the sun on a lounger with a book :-))) of course in between mowing a part of the lawn and such hehehe.

I hope you like today's painting. Feel free to interprete it however you please. At the moment it is a man's inner life - his thoughs or dreams - whether he looks to the future or to the past I do not know. The part I enjoyed doing the most was the superhero-kind of role.

When I started working on this one, all I knew was that this figure was jumping. Originally I wanted the person to jump out of joy but as some of you probably has realized my figures tend to turn out nasty or lonely or not happy at all for some reason. Well, I guess that means that my style in figure painting is semiabstracts showing strong emotions often with subjects that many of us prefer not to think about. Whether any of them will be saleable I do not care.

I have been working mostly in miniature lately so I guess it is time I try to work myself up to the normal sized canvases again hehe. This acrylic is 18x24cm

It has been a while since I tried to draw or paint figures so I found out I would try a bit today. Not perfect but not way too bad either. It is also painted by using coffee as the medium.
