An Art Work A Day

In a stone quarry nearby there is a stone I want for my garden. I want it as a zen sitting stone. :-)

Today I am in Bergen, a city at the West coast of Norway situated in between mountains so rain is more the norm than not. Someone told me today that it had had 27 days of rain last month as we had today and yesterday so naturally today's work had to be about rain.

Well, one thing is for sure, I definately need to sketch a lot before I feel I master the difficult art of figure drawing.

I'll be experimenting a bit this summer sketching so please be patient. The colors will come eventually.

A page from my sketchbook with ideas I might develope into something

I am working on an idea using some of my birdlike figures either in a series with musical instruments or together with glasses and bottles in connection with New Year's Eve. Another idea is to let the bird do strenght training. I do not know what will come of it if anything but here are some of my sketches.

Lots of snow during the night as you can see.

With everything being covered by snow.

That is when it is such a wonderful feeling when finally the driveway is cleared and the car is fairly snowless again - although temporalily.

It has its beauty though and all the kids love this abundance of snow.
