Last Night I had 5 visitors in my yard. Roedeer. It is of course not easy to get perfect photos in the dark but here they are.

Last night as I opened my bedroom window I realized that I had 3 visitors in my garden. It is not very easy to get good photos in the dark so you'll have to accept them as they are.

No less than 2 cats and 4 hedgehog paintings in this style sold on the exhibition last weekend along with a rooster and hen painting. Online an ink drawing sold too. Hopefully the trend will ocntinue. So many people that I wouldn't have thought that about loved this style. Just goes to show that I should stop doubting myself and just keep painting however and whatever the muse guides me to.

As you can see I have been practicing insects today. I am happy to inform you that I have had a bit extra interest in my ink paintings on different kinds of paper lately and have made a nice parcel ready for shipping tomorrow. And Dragonfly practice 2 as well as mantis practice 2, a rat in ink on imitaiton silk and “Italian Alps 1”, “Flowers” on the very absorbent paper, “Chinese Mountain 1” and “Trees by the Lake” will be on their way to NC.

This is one of the things I focus on lately. I am so exited and can't wait for this cocoon with chinese praying mantises to hatch. Hopefully it will happen tomorrow night or Thursday and during the day so that I can watch.

Tonight I was not sure which of my paintings I should show you. In the end I decided on these ones. I might mount and frame the bear for the fair. problem is that I am not sure how much space I've got. I'd better check that out tomorrow.

I sure hope you like wildlife because I seem to be making mostly that these days

Rabbit, Snake, Chick, Donkey and Tiny Bird

When I was in London recently I bought a bar of chinese ink and a winsor & Newton 8 colours set of inks. All of this weekend has been spent playing with these my new toys. Here are the first 3 one I made. All are 2.5"x3.5" ACEOs or ATC (artist trading cards). media is as I said ink only on quality watercolour paper. Price is usually $10 for my aceos. They are not totally original since I used instructional books when painting them. Practicing in this manner is by the way an honored tradition within chinese brush painting.

As you can see, I have played with using coffee as the medium. painted on watercolours paper: Weasel, Rabbit, Frog and Straws on beach.
These are dedicated my mamma, who loves coffee.
