Being here has lots of ups but also one down. For some strange reason my visa card won't work in Barcelona and stupid me even considered taking with me an extra card but decided not to in the end. The big problem is that it is holy week here in Spain so open banks is not an option to sort this out before Tuesday unless I can find one open for a bit tomorrow morning. I started my day with 16 euro, I now have 15. No going out for food that is for sure. I managed today on the food I bought yesterday on the market and with water from fountains. Tomorrow I will have to buy some stuff.

Fortunately all activities today was free and I had the 5 days card for the metro and buses.
Today I went to see an Easter prosesion and also the works of Gaudi. Here are two of his mst famous buildings, Casa Mila or La Pedrere and Casa Batillo. Casa meaning house in Spanish.

Going inside the houses costs quite a bit and the queues were very long (1/2 -1 hour waiting) so that comforted me since I did not dare spend any money in case I could not figure out the problem with my card. I plan on posting more about Gaudi and especially the Guell Park where I spent many hours today. For now you will have to make do with a couple of tempting pictures.
Later in the day I went in search of the big Easter prosesion but did not find it and also in search of an open bank someone suggested would be in the train station. No luck there either but a nice suny walk in the Arc the Triump area comforted me quite a bit.

As my final excursion before leaving for the airport today I went up in the hills and climbed all the stairs up in the tower and had a wonderful view of all of Prague in all directions. A pity the weather was grey and a bit rainy today. Afterwards I walked to a contemorary art gallery as well as to the National gallery. The thing is to squeese the most out of the holiday LOL

Prague is filled with wonderful buildings, churches and towers in all kinds of styles. This is one of the more special ones which I walked past today on my 5 hour walk along the river.

The next one is called the Fred and Ginger Building or the Dancing building.

I also visited another castle area with another great basilika in the neo gothinc style. The church of ss peter and paul in the Vysehrad. Once I get home tomorrow I will start posting more.

Today we went up in the Astronomical Clock Tower where we had an amazing view 360 degrees over the whole town. We also went into St Vitus Cathedral and walked around in the jewish quarter. Today's shopping was a load of training throusers. Last night I bought a stack of vegetable seed bags. This must LOL become a healthy spring.

I have taken hundreds of photos but need time to sort through them properly,

Today was a rainy day so it was good that we spent quite a bit on it shopping and getting our hair cut and coloured. Lots of extra shoes in our luggage on our way home LOL.

My cold and its coughing fits is still bothering me so I think that it was wise to stay mostly indoors. I had planned on drawing some buildings today but did not get the time. Hopefully tomorrow. I did however buy more art materials, of course hehehe.

Therefore, today's posting will also be from Pink and Blue Bird's Honeymoon.

Blue Bird and Pink Bird has not yet arrived in Prague so they will show you a snap shot they took on their honeymoon on Easter Island.

Travelling home

Arrived home today after a very long journey (ca22 hours):

First I got a lift by car into Belfast where I joined a Double decker Tourbus and went around Belfast for 1,5hours. Then I went back to Lindsey's by bus from where I finalized my packing and took

a taxi for the ferry

ferry Brelfast-Stranrear

train: Stranrear - Ayr

train: Ayr - Glasgow Prestwick
Then a long wait at the airport

for the plane

Then after some waiting a buss

then a train
then bus for part of what should have been a traintrip

and finally a taxi for my daughter's place to fetch my car to use for the last leg home.
Home sweet home. I have had an amazing holiday and will begin telling you about it tomorrow

Beautiful clear day here tonight. I found this one suitable since we are in the time where we talk about those that followed the star to the stable.

I wish all viewers a as relaxing as possiblebuild up to the holidays. It is amazing what a bit of detergent in the corners can do together with lots of candles LOL.
I got some 100g quality paper today so bit by bit I will be ready to reprint my book projects more properly. I have also gathered quite a few names for professional printing services. As I reread it now I find small flaws that I will corrects but also I am starting to become quite satisfied too :-)))))))).
