An Art Work A Day

Movement in Desperation,

These days we have watched in shock as first we saw the earth quake, then the tsunami, then the fires and now recently the explosions on the nuclear plants. I chose to focus on eyes while trying somehow to capture some of fear and shock all those poor persons in Japan has been and is going through by making abstract eyes the center of the painting.

Today my cold has kept me more inactive than I would have liked so I have been more of a onlooker than a doer.

The virus is still bothering me so my poor cats had to endure a bit of complaining today.

This cold of mine is bringing along a very bad headache. :-(

Not being well the last few days

For various reasons many people are in reality trapped in their own house. Their destiny is what has inspired today's painting. In my mind I see a person looking out of a window, so near to freedom but yet so very very far.

Unfortunately life sometimes gets a bit too much for people.

Today we had a teacher planning day which meant that we sat in a unventilated room on uncomfortable chairs all day. The lectrer was good but my body does not handle sitting that long that well.

Brushing and scraping snow off my car this morning crossing my fingers that I would be able to drive it out of the driveway, I really started to long for spring.

These days my goal is to break free of some boundries that hinders my artistic developement.

Very very cold here today, below -15 C so school children were allowed to say indoors during breaks. Arriving homw today the temperature in my kitchen was only 13C so it took me some time to get it to a comfertable level.
