This painting delights me. The shell shapes make a lovely, irregular, overall pattern, the beauty of which is enhanced by the artist's meaning of the shells. Who of us has not wished to carry protection surrounding us to protect us from the many threats of the world, be they physical, emotional, economic, or due to any cause? I am not a coward, but I like the idea of having a snug, safe shell into which to escape when life goes into its periods of tough going and until outside conditions improve?
I am so impressed by the way you express your interpretations. You manage to say what I am often too tired after working, then painting, then posting to say to well. thank you so much for your comment.
