Welcome to my journey exploring art, In 2010 you also saw me on hikes in wonderful nature. In 2011-13 I did not paint much, but made items using my art. In 2014 I will again try to be a daily art maker. ARTIST RETAINS ALL COPYRIGHT INCLUDING ON PAINTINGS SOLD. DO NOT COPY WITHOUT PERMISSION Clicking on images will show larger images

This is a gorgeous and perfect "messenger of love". It is almost a combination of a butterfly and half of a flower that has many long petals. This beautiful, flying insect is unique in an extremely appealing way and I would love to have one appear to me on any day of the year!
I love this painting Trine!
Thank you both. As Barb is into, it is as much a flower's petals as a butterfly as a moth or whatever you the viewer sees in it. It is meant to be more of a symbol than a realistic insect and therefore is painted abstracted
P.S. I now also see the spread flight feathers of a bird's wings in this Valentine bug's wings. I love the way that I keep seeing the insect in new and beautiful ways! It is as if it will not leave my mind until it has shown me some other way in which to see it. I enjoy that so very much!
