Sketching

This last week I've been practicing sketching with a pencil. i find that very good for practicing shading, shapes and textures. Some day theyw ill be good enough for me to show you. If you're very curious I have posted them here http://www.freewebs.com/mtv65/myartistdiary.htm

These photos do not properly show these works. One need to see them hanging in a window with light coming through or with reflections in them from a light source. I had fun making them :-)

Teddy

This teddy just reminds me of Xmas hanging in the window. The living room lights reflect in the bubble pattern of the art glass I've used. I can't wait to hear what my kids think. I will show these on the exhibition this weekend.

I really think I need to start using gloves. I have small cuts all over my fingertips :-) but it is FUN working with a material which demands something physical. It literally demands blood hehe

And here are the first one. It is done in tiffany style. I also got some proper face shield today. But would you believe it I was so eager just an hour ago and went to the grinder without it and wosj a tiny glass splint flew up in my eye. I think all went well but that shoul teach me ALWAYS USE SAFETY EQUIPTMENT.
The slim curved legs were really hard to cut. The glass kept breaking the wrong way but finally I got it right. Wasted a bit of the blue glass but the final result is worth it, I think.

As you can see there are lots of variations in what you can do with wax and some heat hehe

This is one of the "paintings" I did this weekend using beeswax. Most are nice and bringht and invite to walk in fantasy worlds. This one turned out nasty hehe. Must be Halloween.

Well I finally got some glass work done and here is the result. I'll try to get a photo with light shining through it tomorrow
