After all this pastels and pinks I wanted to show you something real colourful today. Life is hectic and I work far into the night these days. The worst part is that I have a bit of catching up to do with my friends and will try to get that done this weekend in addition to grading English end of term papers from the 9th grade.

Beautiful colors and movement!
Good luck with grading all those papers and the end of the school year.
I'm so glad that I have retired and don't have to do that anymore!
Here, we have gone to using a lot of things like scantron sheets to speed up grading. Let the machines do the grading! And the computers figure the grades. Faster for the teachers and to get the grades in and the year finished. But not such a good thing for teaching writing. Everything is too rushed. And we wonder why our students can't write very well. They also no longer teach handwriting in the lower grades. It's up to the parents. The schools spend all their time trying to improve scores on the government mandated tests. And all they have to do there is to bubble in a circle. They are talking about moving on to have the students do them on computers next.
I'm a "night person", and have more energy in the wee hours of the morning, like 3 a.m. So, I like to work late on my painting and writing, too. That's not easy when you have to go to school in the daytime. My mother used to tell me that I should have taught night school!
