Jeg har i kveld arbeidet med en tekst inspirert av diskusjonene rundt intervjuet av Marte Krogh. Å få barn er nok en utfordring enten man har au pair, vaskehjelp og milliardærsamboer eller ikke.
I'm working this evening with a text inspired by discussions concerning the interview of Marte Krogh last week. Having children is probably quite a challenge whether you have an au pair, cleaner, personal trainer and billionaire boyfriend or not.

I very much long for the easter holidays now. Many things I would love to do.
My plan for the book illustrating project is starting to take shape. I want it so be light and simple, nearly as flimsy and fragmented as Treads of Thoughts can be.

This painting was mounted and framed November 2010 when it was in an exhibition and as such difficult and expensive to post internationally. Dismantling is an option. Contact me for info.

Today has been Mother's Day here in Norway so today I chose to present a painting about motherhood. This month it is 20 and 21 years since I gave birth to my two children, so it is mother's month for me. Next weekend my daughter will come home and we will celebrate both her birthday as well as mother's day then together.
I also invite you to see my adorable great niece Signe Kristine who was born just before Christmas. Here is a blog where she is shown.

This one I will display with a mount and a frame on the fair. Whoever asks for it first, visitors there or you people around the globe will get it.
Today I am so tired that getting things done is really hard. I checked out the paintings I planned to bring to the fair and exchanged a few. I find it hard to chose which ones. My eyes hurt and I do not look forward to tomorrow. I have accepted two extra classes tomorrow too because several of our collegues are away. Tonight I really should have graded some ESL tests and papers but I do not want to do that when I am so tired because I want my students to have the advantage of a positive and fairly rested person evaluating them. One of the problems is that most of this work is in classfronter - a learning platform and thus I have to read the students' works on a pc screen which is wearing my eyes down.
Well that was my complaining done. Except from that I have had a lovely afternoon with my daughter and her boyfriend visiting, talking and eating muffins. :-)
