This summer visiting Arran Island and walking around in a very old forest I noticed the abundance of ferns. The whole landscape was quite magical. I did however notice that the sheep farmers did not like the plant very much and a helicopter even flew around spraying it.
Nevertheless, the very young ferns are quite beautiful with their leaves curled up and their shapes both on normal and macrolevel intrigues me.
