I am still struggling with that troat infection and that together with my work have made it neccessary for me to put the painting of the house a bit on hold. Yesterday evening I also had the autumn parent meeting at work. Well anyway here are the results from my last chinese brush painting practice; crow and pointisettia, magpie, Cormorant and Sparrow

Busy day - full time work - then painting from 4 p.m to 9 p.m and playing with ink and chinese brushes and shuen paper after that. I was happy today to get a price inquiry for one of the chinese brush painting sketches. I did not price them because I did them mainly for practice and a tool for relaxation, but of course I am always happy for any of my work to find new homes so should any of you be interested in one of them, drop me a line and I'll make you a very fair price.

Here are the subjects I did today - insects; bettle, stag beetle and two grasshoppers. The drawings themselces are approximately postcard sized.

Today has been a very active day. First I had a full day at work and when I returned home I painted my house for 5 hours straight. At last after a short walk I could sit down and relax by practicing chines brush painting. Here are some of the results. Note: The designs are not mine but from an instruction book.

I am very happy today. The sun has been shining and will do so for a few days. I got lots done on the house today and have organized some help with the painting to get it finished this week. In between scrubbing the house and doing my work, I find chinese brush painting very relaxing. Here are some results from that practice.

As you can see I have been practicing painting birds on shuen paper. And you can probably also see that I "piddled in my puddle" as a fellow artist phrase it when she keep reminding me to stop and not do anything more on a work. This is totally neccessary in Chinese brush painting and I do have many years of practice before me before I master this very interesting technique.

Today has been a very busy day and the coming days probably will be too. The time is now 01.30 and I have been painting with a chinese brush as a tool to calm down. Here are the results, not too good but they served a purpose. Two was done on shuen paper and two on watercolour paper.

School started today and I must admit that I do believe LOl that my class is the very best class there is .-). and I look forward to another year with them - their graduation year.

Many a day we feel like we stumble along, at least I do. I start every day hoping it will be a good day and I do my very best to have the very best attitude towards life. Some days no matter what we do or how well we plan or how positive an attitude we have, things will go wrong and we feel like we lose our footing and stumble along in a mist.

Today was another rainy day here. I do find it harder to stay positive I must admit after day after day after day . . . with rain.
Tomorrow is the ifrst day at school for the students here in Norway. I hope they all arrive bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to start with clean sheets of paper.

Today it has been pouring down most of the day in Biblical amounts. Where does all that rain come from. After having such a dark day I wanted to enjoy life with the warm colours. Sometimes I find it hard to name my work. Today was such a day. That is why I put the ? behind the sky, I am not sure whether I want it to be a sky. You as a viewer can chose to see whatever you like

These days when it is raining and raining and raining and that has been mostly the summer, we of course think about climatic change and some of us worry about what kind of future we leave for your children and grandchildren.

Hi
I am sorry to tell you that I have caught a bad summer cold and have been totally incapable of any work or painting for a few days. I now hope for tomorrow to be a better day.

The interview in "Teen Trend Magazine" is no out on the newstands but unfortunately I have not yet received my copies in the mail so I can not show you it. I hope it arrives tomorrow so that I can scan it in and show you.

The roof is nearly done now, the new roof over the entrance too but still there is quite a few things like waterpiping to be done before it is complete.

I start work again on the 16th so I really hope my cold will go away quickly. Unfortunately I got an sms from my collegue today and she is still struggling with hers more than a week after it started, so cross your fingers for me.

I hope to show you more photos tomorrow
