Just Looking - Not Yet daring to Speak, acrylics on paper 24x32cm

Except from me being stuffed with the cold this morning, today has been a good day. I am satisfied with my painting and has focused on giving myself TLC so that I will be back on my feet properly as quickly as possible.
Yesterday we got fantastic news about a health scare in the family That fortunately turned out to be much much more innocent than we all feared, so life is good this week. Time to party.

I am so totally a NOT pink person that I have enjoyed making these pink cartoonish paintings - this one reminds me of me on a bad day with unshaved legs and feeling very middleaged but still flapping my wings and trying.
I have had a great day today painting all day :-)))) jippiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Unfortunately my router died yesterday so that is why this work is a bit delayed in posting. I am getting a bit fed up with having to buy new stuff these days. Time to pay down on mortage instead of increasing my debts each month. :-(((.
I had lots of fun painting this one yesterday, Imagining putting clotes on this nerdy figure and making him look so uncool.

Pink Ladies Exchanging News, watercolours on paper ACEO 2.5x3.5inches
0 comments Posted by Trine at 11:39 pmIn these modern times most of our students' work are delivered digitally and read as well as commented on and graded digitally. Unfortunately a side effect from that is periodically too much time online watching a screen very focused as well as lots and lots of computer mouse work which is hell for my eyes as well as my right shoulder. I look very much forward to the weekend now. I long for more proper painting time and hopefully not when I am work out after work and grading.

Somehow these days I struggle to find time to really paint more than miniature works. Crossing fingers that the coming weekend and week will be better but I fear it will not, because next week is the time for me to get the end of term papers in to grade. SIGH. And that weekend is the weekend of the Christmas exhibition. hmmmmm. LOL January will be better.

Fit Pink Lady Hiking, watercolours on paper ACEO 2.5x3.5inches
2 comments Posted by Trine at 11:12 pmFinally both my daughter's and my car have winter tires on. Lots of twists and turns until this because the person selling my daughter her car gave her winter wheels that did not fit. Up early and went down to the garage with both cars to get them swiched and new ones on.
I have had a productive day grading :-)

I have started heating the house using the wood stove lately and LOL as usual that seems to coincide with the first cold of the winter. So this weekend I am a good girl. Plenty of rest and fluids so that I will get it over and done with as quickly as possible.

Yesterday and today has been quite interesting. Jere in Norway there has been a tremendous interest in the election in the USA and I think 99% is happy with the result. There is a major belief here that we might see a very different cooperation with the States in the future, especially within NATO.
At the moment it looks like my family will be spread around for Christmas. That inspired this play with the cartoonish style.

Fright of the Male - (For Barbara), acrylics on paper 21x25.5cm
0 comments Posted by Trine at 11:24 pmToday's painting is part of the Daily painters gallery's memorial exhibition for Barbara Haukenberry. I chose this one both because of its humor but also in rememberance of talks we had about our experiences in men in our lives.
