Showing the World to the Young, watercolour on paper 21x30cm
A couple of days ago I was reminded of a trip me and my children took to Scotland where we visited Edinburgh and Glasgow. Now they are both adults and live their own lives. I sometimes miss the time when I was the lead duck/goose.

When it rains it pours, acrylics on paper 24x32cm
All over Europe it keeps raining and many places are flooded. The weather forecast is not very dry either for the coming week. Also it seems like problems come in groups when they come. You are as usual totally free to interprete my abstract works as you please. I am often amazed by what some paintings say to some persons. That is how I want it to be.

Northern Islet II, acrylics on paper 24x32cm
This one looks really well both with a white or a black mount. Here I tried to capture the feeling as well as the landscape, because being in this amazing nature went into the core of me and influenced not only the eyes but the heart.

Northern Islet I, acrylics on paper 24x32cm
On my trip up North I gathered several hundreds of reference photoes of the mountains, islands and islets of the north. I can probably paint for years using them. Being there was very emotional for me in so many ways and that is why I have not posted for some days. I had to let it sink down a bit. My trip included all kinds of flora and fauna as well as so many spectacular landscapes. It included so many intense aspects of like including the fact that I saw the new babies in the family and joined the support group around a sickbed, then deathbed and in the end a death and the comforting of a widow. The funeral itself was yesterday. I will share with you things bit by bit. I have so many amazing photos for example. I have enough material for several book projects and am at present trying to make some plans and get some order in all the materials and emotions.
